Age: 13 Hitomi is the daughter of the Purple Dragon Clan's kumicho. After Asago's run-in with Rui, Hitomi and the daughters of other clans under Kuryugumi offer to be her bodyguard, while secretly planning to compete for the position of kage no seisai ("shadow wife", Ryuuji's secondary wife). Despite being younger than the others, Hitomi is better at wielding guns than Asago, having been trained intensively (and, as she claims, genetically engineered) for the position of seisai since she was a young child. Hitomi hides her scheming personality under an innocent smile, and claims to love Ryuuji and to have seen his sleeping face (leaving out that she had drugged him). Before an important yakuza ceremony, she pricks Asago's arm with an anesthetic, causing her to make a serious mistake and sinking her already-low self-confidence even further.
