Yuuta is a boy with a brown hair, and the deuteragonist of Shishunki Bitter Change. After an accident in fourth grade, he ended up switching bodies with a girl named Yui. Now, Yui has become "Yuuta". Yui/"Yuuta" is a serious and hardworking student, but she has a hard time opening up to people. She was socially very isolated until she befriended Yuuta and Kazuma after the swap. Compared to Yuuta/"Yui", it's much harder for her to adapt to her new body, and she fears losing herself the same way she has lost a lot of her femininity. In their final year of high school, Yuuta/"Yui" confesses to her, and proposes for them to give up looking for a way to switch back. Having fully adapted, Yuuta/"Yui" admits she wishes to stay as she is currently. It is eventually revealed the swap happened due to Yui's wish to be like Yuuta, whom she admired from afar. After a life-threatening accident that switches them back into their original bodies, Yui wishes for this swap back to be undone, as she senses it's the only way to save Yuuta so the two can be together. After her wish is granted, "Yuuta"/Yui comes to accept herself (or "himself") as she/he is now. Note: post-swap Yui (now in the appearance of Yuuta) is written in katakana as "ユイ" to differentiate from pre-swap Yui (now Yuuta), which is
