Hikojirou is the owner of Kaburagi Antiques, the store that Hisako works at. It is unclear how much he knows about Yato's true nature and his relationship with Hisako, but he occasionally drops hints that he is aware of there being more than meets the eye to them. He allows Yato to stay in the shop and keep Hisako company during the day. On several occasions, it is hinted that Hikojirou is well connected. Hikojirou's grandfather used to be the owner of the store, but he preferred to travel the world and left the shop in the care of his grandson while occasionally sending him things to sell. In Kindan no Koi de Ikou, Hisako tells him the truth about Yato.
