Shiva Mikaido 御海道 シバ Сива Микайдо | Shiva Mikaido | 御海道 シバ

Shiva is the younger brother of the now-disbanded Hogougumi's kumicho, Sou Mikaido. He loved Wakasa, but she ultimately chose to become Sou's kage no seisai ("shadow wife", essentially a secondary wife). After betraying his brother, Shiva was killed by Wakasa in the final confrontation between Hogougumi and Garyukai, but his consciousness was secretly transplanted by Sakaki into the body of another man — Misumi Souryou, whose identity Shiva has taken over and whom Shiki (Shiva's nephew) is trying to recover. 14 years later, Shiva is still obsessive about Wakasa and tracking down her child, to the point that he develops a robot cat (Kali) whose eyes turn red when it senses Wakasa's descendant nearby. Sakaki also notes that Shiva has a "Wakasa-themed collection", and that he "almost lost a finger" when he tried to touch it. Shiva is presently affiliated with Garyukai under the identity of "Misumi Souryou" and, like Wakasa, prefers to use a sword when fighting. Tsukasa calls him "Sata Gonzaemon" for unknown reasons, and notes that he has "eyes like that of a snake". When she hears about Misumi's body being "unusual", Tsukasa also jumps to the conclusion that he must be pregnant, and considers him a bigger pervert than she already thought. Due to their lineage, Shiva and Tsukasa are uncle and niece. While alive in his own body, Shiva had been suffering from an unnamed terminal illness and wasn't expected to live past 20. The fact that Hogougumi only paid attention to Sou, who would become its leader — compounded by Wakasa, who showed him kindness, also choosing Sou in the end —, led to Shiva snapping and betraying them all. After the battle at Megafloat Airport, Shiva confesses to Tsukasa that for a long time he has been indifferent about winning or losing. When Tsukasa shares with him the contents of Wakasa's DVD, Shiva is finally able to move on once he hears that Wakasa wanted to help him find peace and that she never loved Sou. After leaving with Shiki, Shiva agrees to return to him the body of Misumi.
